The following services are available at the Blackfalds Public Library:
- Alberta Library Card - Take out books from dozens of Albertan libraries! Click for more information.
- Magazines - An assortment of periodicals available for loan.
- Free* public wireless Internet access hub (WIFI) - bring your laptop in and access the internet with all the comforts of your own system.
- Free* public access computers - Word processing, Internet, E-mail, etc. The Blackfalds Public Library is a CAP (Community Access Project) member.
- A diverse selection of programs and events are hosted by the Blackfalds Public Library. See the Programs and Calendar links for more information.
- Fax service - Send faxes to Red Deer, Rochester, Rio de Janeiro or Reykjavik!
- Alberta telephone books - A huge assortment of phone books from across Alberta.
- Atlases and encyclopedias - A diversity of geographical and factual reference materials.
- Large print books - For persons with visual disabilities.
- Books in foreign languages - Read in your mother tongue or brush up on a rusty skill!
- Photocopies - For $0.15 per page (grayscale only) & $0.35 per page (Colour).
- Best sellers - Read what they're reading in Toronto and New York.
- Microsoft Office Professional available on our public computers.
- Program Room & Meeting Room Rentals are available.

- Friends of the Library - The Society of the Friends of the Blackfalds Public Library is formed to help raise funds so the library can offer more programs, expand our collection, give free memberships to the public, etc. Please contact the staff at the library if you are interested in joining. We currently have Blackfalds Public Library pins available for purchase at the library.
- Blackfalds Historical Society - The Society stores and preserves the archives for Blackfalds and area and hosts themed antique exhibitions in the library on a rotating basis
