Summer Sessions:
For all childrens programs, parents must come to the library to register child(ren)and fill out forms. All children must have a vaild library card to attend programs.
Summer Reading Program
Our Summer Reading Program for 2009 was a huge success. Our kids read for 992,230 minutes in only 6 weeks!!
The SRP Theme for Summer 2010 is Destination Jungle. Please see our calandar for upcoming events and activites. Registration begins June 28th, 2010.

Mother Goose
Moms, Dads, Babies, Toddlers! Rhymes, puppets, songs, and stories from picture books will provide your little one with a morning filled with new wonders and fun activities. Guest siblings welcome.

Terrific 3s
This is a special program for children who are 3 years old. Games, craft activities, puppets, activities & stories. This is a very active program that runs for a half hour.

Lets Play

Books for Babies
A family literacy program which recognizes, celebrates, and supports parents as their children's first teachers. Books for Babies encourages parents to read to their children early in life. From birth to 3 years is an important window of opportunity for the brain to develop language skills.
The Blackfalds Public Library Board is sponsoring this program for babies born in the last year. Come by the library with your baby and you will receive a bag of goodies and a free library membership for your baby.
Book Club
Currently our library does not have an active Book Club. If anyone is interested in starting a Book Club at the library, please contact us at 403-885-2343. Other wise we will recommend Lacombe Public Library's Book Club - Their book club information is half way down on their main page. Another alternative is a FREE online book club available through Camrose Public Library. They subscribe ot an online book club service that has a variety of genre specific book clubs available.
Writing Workshop
Learn how to write at The Four F's of Writing Fiction with Award Winning Author, Marcia Laycock. This workshop will be a combination of lecture, examining an author's work and practising the skills by writing. This is a beginner level writing course.
Computer Classes
Learn how to complete basic computer tasks, send email, beginner vista or just simply search the net.
