How do you access the software?

TELL ME MORE will be available at computer terminals throughout your library, but library card holders can also access the software from home via their library's home page.

Who can access this software? 

Anyone with a valid card from any Alberta public library.

Who can learn English?

Everyone.  However, those who speak French, Italian, Dutch, German, Spanish, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish, Korean, Chinese & Japanese can receive instruction in their native tongue.

What features does the site have?

TELL ME MORE is a multi-sensory, interactive experience that teaches proper pronunciation, listening, and reading techniques, while allowing users to practice phonetics, grammar and dialogue in real time.

Why is the library doing this?

We're a great place to learn!  Libraries are often the first place new immigrants go to reconnect with their own culture and learn more about Canada.  We offer a comfortable, familiar, non-intimidating environment to learn a new language.

How much does it cost to use?

This service is free to anyone holding a valid Alberta public library card.

How is this program different from other language programs available?

TELL ME MORE offers a unique variety of multimedia learning tools to benefit all learning styles.  It also has unlimited online access, so users can access it through their home computer as well as at their library.
